Call for Papers
The 3rd Ankara Undergraduate Literature Conference, co-hosted by TEDU and Ankara University, is set to take place in person at TED University on 22 March 2024. We extend an invitation to third- and fourth-year literature students in Ankara to submit abstracts (200-300 words) along with at least five keywords and a brief biography (100-200 words) to tedtcf.konferans@gmail.com.
We welcome papers on the theme of "Intercultural Encounters," exploring interactions between diverse cultures. Potential topics for submission may include, but are not limited to:
- Cross-Cultural Communication: Analysing effective communication strategies in diverse cultural settings.
- Literary Migrations: Exploring the representation of migration and diaspora in literature.
- Cultural Hybridity in Literature: Examining works that depict the blending of cultural elements.
- Global Perspectives in Local Narratives: Discussing how local stories incorporate global themes.
- Multilingual Narratives: Investigating the role of language in conveying intercultural experiences.
- Identity and Belonging: Examining how individuals negotiate identity in multicultural contexts.
- Intercultural Relationships in Literature: Analysing portrayals of relationships across cultural boundaries.
- Colonial and Postcolonial Encounters: Exploring the impact of colonial history on contemporary intercultural dynamics.
- Cultural Conflict and Harmony: Investigating instances of conflict and harmony arising from cultural diversity.
- Intercultural Understanding: Discussing approaches to fostering intercultural understanding through literature.
- Creative writing: We welcome young writers and poets who would like to display their works about intercultural interaction in poster presentations
