Following his graduation from TED Ankara College, Onur Yüncü is graduated from the Middle East Technical University, Department of Architecture in 2000, from where he also received his M.Arch degree in 2002. In 2008 he received his Ph.D. from METU with the dissertation titled "Research by Design in Architectural Design Education." Between 2001 and 2007 he worked in METU Department of Architecture as a research assistant. Between 2007 and 2013 he was a part time instructor in the same institution where he was a design critic in the design studios. During this period he served as a visiting jury member in the architectural design studios of various universities. Architectural education and design - action research are among his research interests. In his architectural practice parallel to his academic research, his main focus is the relationship between practical knowledge and theoretical knowledge. Besides his publications on his research areas, he has built projects based on his research and awards that he won in various architectural competitions.
