"Student teachers have two practice teaching courses in their last years at education faculties. These courses were designed for face-to-face teaching and student teachers are appointed to mentor teachers at various schools in Ankara. The feedback, guidance and instructional support that student teachers receive are based solely on the expertise and wisdom of those mentor teachers and unfortunately, they may not receive the effective mentoring that they deserve. With this project, student teaching process will be supported by e-mentoring, that is, student teachers will be assigned to co-mentors who are native speakers of English working overseas and who have expertise in guidance and mentoring. They will both be monitored and evaluated by both Turkish teachers at public schools in Ankara as well as native teachers in Canada or USA. Data will be collected by interviews, and evaluation forms developed by the Ministry of Education. With this project, it is aimed to increase mutual collaboration among mentors and mentees as well as to benefit from both cultural and intercultural feedback and support"
