The integration of sustainability into STEM education has become increasingly important as the world faces pressing environmental and social challenges. This study aims to investigate the generation of alternatives by analyzing data processing activities in the secondary school mathematics curriculum from a STEM and sustainability perspective. The project's objectives are to support the United Nations' goals for sustainable development, analyze the current curriculum, lay the groundwork for future projects, broaden students' perspectives on sustainability through educational activities, and create opportunities for a sustainable future. Thus, the proposed study intends to investigate data processing in K–12 curricula from a STEM and sustainability viewpoint and suggest new strategies for enhancing sustainability teaching. The choice of data processing as a subject is significant because it is a sustainable subject in and of itself, as well as being taught at all secondary school levels. Moreover, statistical literacy is important but is not given enough emphasis in schools, and data processing allows for interdisciplinary learning by interacting with many different disciplines.Furthermore, data processing is crucial for the development of STEM education and enables the formation of a point of view and the development of awareness through various activities. The project's methodology includes a systematic review of relevant literature, data collection and analysis, and the development and implementation of educational activities aimed at secondary school students. The literature review will focus on the integration of sustainability into STEM education and the role of data processing in promoting sustainability. Data collection will involve analyzing the current mathematics curriculum in secondary schools, as well as collecting and analyzing data from educational activities designed to promote sustainability through data processing. The educational activities will be designed to broaden students' perspectives on sustainability and promote their engagement in sustainable practices. These activities will be interdisciplinary, incorporating elements of mathematics, science, and social studies, and will involve the use of data processing tools and techniques. The activities will be designed to develop students' skills in statistical analysis, data visualization, and critical thinking, as well as their understanding of the role of data in promoting sustainability. The project's outcomes will be significant for both STEM education and sustainability. By analyzing the current curriculum and developing educational activities aimed at promoting sustainability through data processing, the project will lay the groundwork for future projects in this field. Furthermore, the project will broaden students' perspectives on sustainability and enable them to engage in sustainable practices in their daily lives. Finally, the project will contribute to the achievement of the United Nations' goals for sustainable development. Overall, this study will make a significant contribution to the integration of sustainability into STEM education and will promote the development of critical skills and perspectives needed for a sustainable future. The project's focus on data processing in the context of the secondary school mathematics curriculum is unique and has the potential to make a significant impact in this field
