Proje Özeti

"In this project, body geometry of an electric car will be optimized in terms of drag reduction. The body will be parameterized with most prominent geometric properties which will be determined from the literature survey. If needed, the properties such as location of the wheels and air holes of the body will also be examined. The 3D models of parameterized geometry will be generated on a CAD software and numerical analysis with detailed Computational Fluid Dynamics simulations will be conducted. These geometries will also be 3D printed and tested on the wind tunnel located in Fluid Dynamics Laboratory. The numerically obtained data will be validated with the wind tunnel data. A design process will be conducted to reduce the drag of the body."
