Proje Özeti

"A portfolio in teacher training programs describes a purposeful collection of materials created by preservice teachers about a specific course and/or professional development. Specifically, a portfolio may include students’ sample work, demonstrations or artifacts. E-portfolio represents the digital collection of these materials. Inservice and preservice teachers develop their professional knowledge and skills through portfolio or e-portfolio besides reflecting on their own learning process (Chau & Cheng, 2010, Stefani et al., 2007). This is because their utility of e-portfolio contributes to self-evaluation and identification of their teacher competencies (Vozzo et al., 2014). Within the scope of this study, e-portfolio utility of primary preservice teachers in terms of its use by the preservice teachers, self-regulated learning skills of the students, professional development, and readiness for e-portfolio use. The study will be conducted with the freshman, junior, sophomore and senior level students studying in TED University Faculty of Education Primary Education Department in the 2021-2022 Fall and Spring Semesters. The volunteer students will prepare e-portfolios on the Google Sites web-based platform through purposeful selection of their own products and extracurricular activities within the context of their professional development courses. The data will be collected through interviews, reflective diaries, reflective daily evaluation rubric and e-portfolio websites. It is one of the expectations of the researchers to explain the purposes for selection of the products and extracurricular activities in the e-portfolio and how they constructed their own product preparation process. What kind of competencies the pre-service teachers develop and for what purposes their products are developed are other issues will be discovered within the scope of this research. Within the light of the findings, an e-portfolio development process will be presented and how preservice teachers benefit from this process will be explained in terms of self-regulation and professional development."
