The course aims to make students apprehend ‘doing’ research not solely as a curious process of looking and finding but also as a creative practice of speculating and producing. To do so, every semester, the course will introduce a specific research topic, object, building, or site for students to conduct a research practice across different fields and forms of data to unearth and interpret the traces that are simply lost or veiled through time, or deliberately erased. It will introduce transdisciplinary methods and approaches for researching architectural traces within the transformed or disappeared built environments.
