This interdisciplinary project-based course introduces the field of learning engineering by integrating the learning sciences, human-centered design (HCD), agile development, and educational technology. Students work in diverse teams to define, design, prototype, and evaluate learning solutions. The course includes iterative project development, critical reflections, and a final showcase presentation.
Upon successful completion of this course, students
will be able to:
·
Identify the
core principles of learning engineering from related fields,
·
Apply
cognitive and learning science theories to design decisions,
·
Implement
learner and context analysis using HCD methods,
·
Design
learning solutions using agile and iterative methods,
·
Use data
instrumentation and analytics in learning designs,
· Evaluate prototypes through testing, feedback, and ethical reflection.
