This course aims to introduce the concepts and techniques used in long, mid and short-term planning functions; to improve the effectiveness of production planning decisions, and to develop the required skills of students for solving the production planning problems with respect to their business objectives.
The topics are mainly Forecasting, Production Planning with emphasis on Aggregate Planning (APP), Master Production Schedule (MPS), Inventory Management (deterministic and stochastic models), and Materials Requirements Planning (MRP). Finally, Operations Scheduling and Sequencing
