The notions of competency and self-efficacy in psychological counseling are the subject of this study. Apart from academic achievement, the research investigates how self-efficacy is affected by additional variables like professional disposition and effective counseling qualities. A research group of 346 students majoring in psychological counseling and guidance from numerous universities conducted the study. The Effective Counseling Qualifications Scale, the Professional Disposition Scale, and the Psychological Counseling Self-Efficacy Scale were used in the data gathering process. Correlational research methodology was applied in the study, while SPSS 22 was used for analysis. The results of the investigation showed a strong correlation among self-efficacy in psychological counseling, professional disposition, effective counseling qualities. According to regression analysis, the independent factors both significantly predicted and explained 40% of the variance in psychological counseling self-efficacy. These results highlight the multifaceted character of psychological counseling self-efficacy and the significance of taking non- academic elements into account.
