Özet:

This thesis investigates the role of digital technology programs in enhancing social cohesion by reducing inequalities and increasing social capital in advanced economies with robust digital infrastructures. Using a most similar system design method for comparative analysis, it identifies both strengths and weaknesses in the design and implementation of digital technology initiatives across Germany, Finland, and Sweden. The findings highlight that while migrants in these countries generally have access to digital tools, challenges such as limited multilingual support, internet access, and service costs hinder equitable access. Digital technologies with e-learning opportunities and the digitization of public services provide valuable support, yet issues like slow labor market integration, recognition of foreign qualifications, legal language barriers, and workplace discrimination persist. Digital platforms and civil society play crucial roles in supplementing governmental efforts, particularly in professional networking and mentorship. Tailored applications and online learning tools are critical for addressing the diverse needs of migrants, emphasizing the importance of intersectionality in service design to ensure equal access and culturally competent care. The research underscores the potential of digital tools and online platforms to reduce disparities, foster connections, and promote inclusivity.
