Assoc. Prof. Aslı Numanoğlu Genç

Dr. Aslı Numanoğlu Genç received her B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU). After her graduation, she continued her graduate studies at the same department, and studied at the Coastal Engineering Research Center of METU. She received her M.Sc and Ph.D. in coastal engineering in 1996 and 2004 respectively. She worked as a research assistant at the Civil Engineering Department of METU between 1994-2001. She was the project manager of the National Committee of Coastal Zone Management between 2001-2004. Afterwards, she worked as researcher at the Research Center of Marine Sciences of Gazi University.She joined to Civil Engineering Department of TED University in February, 2019. Her main expertise is on Integrated Coastal Zone Management. Her research interests are wave climate and the transport modeling of microplastics in coastal areas.
