Biography
Azize Elif Yabacı was graduated from Middle East Technical University (METU) with a B.Arch degree in the Department of Architecture in 2009. She started her M.Sc studies in Graduate Program in Restoration and Preservation of Historical Monuments at Middle East Technical University (METU)same year and; she received her master degree with her thesis titled ‘The Role and Approach of Local Authorities in the Field of ‘Conservation’: Case Study in Hamamönü / Ankara’ in 2012. She completed her PHD studies, started in 2012, in Graduate Program in Conservation of Cultural Heritage at Middle East Technical University (METU) in 2018 with the thesis titled ‘Place – Identity – Change in Ankara University Cebeci Campus as an Issue of Modern Heritage Conservation’.
During graduate education, she worked in various architecture, restoration and planning offices and construction companies as an architect. Currently, she continues research studies on conservation studies in historic city centers and cultural heritage, conservation of modern heritage and modern university campuses.
