Biography

Gizem Güzeller graduated from the Department of Mathematics and Science Education Elementary Mathematics Education Program at Eskişehir Anadolu University and completed her master's in Elementary Mathematics Education Program at Hacettepe University. After serving as a research assistant for six years at TED University's Mathematics and Science Education Department, she works as a lecturer.

Güzeller's areas of study include out-of-school/informal learning, teacher education, student-centered instructional design, culture, and mathematics. Pursuing her doctoral studies at METU (Middle East Technical University), Güzeller has also been involved in projects on educational practices for prospective mathematics teachers, early algebra student preparation, and mathematics education for immigrant children.
