Melike Kandemir was born in 1992
in Ankara, Turkey. She completed her undergraduate education in 2017 at TED
University, Department of Early Childhood Education. She earned her master's
degree in 2020 from the Middle East Technical University (METU), Department of
Early Childhood Education, with a thesis focusing on schoolyard practices in
early childhood education. In 2025, she completed her doctoral degree with a
dissertation on strengthening family involvement in schoolyard practices.
During her graduate studies, she served as a research assistant in various TÜBİTAK
projects and gained two years of full-time teaching experience at an
international kindergarten. She is currently continuing her studies in the Thesis-Based
Master's Program in Creative Drama Education at Ankara University.
Since September 2023, Melike Kandemir has been working as a Lecturer in the Department of Early Childhood Education at TED University. Her research interests include outdoor play and learning, family engagement and education, early childhood assessment, teacher education, and creative drama in education.
