Abstract

In this paper, an approximate dynamic programming method for resource management of a phased array radar used in active protection systems is presented for three scenarios. Since dynamic programming suffers from computational difficulties in real situations, an approximate dynamic programming method has been used. The necessity for a radar resource management system has been explained and the problems that radar resource management should solve have been discussed. It has been shown that successful results are obtained.
