Abstract

In this study, the resonant frequency and bandwidths of rectangular shaped patch antennas were calculated with the genetic algorithm method used in solving electromagnetic problems in recent years. The parameters for the length and width of the rectangular microstrip antennas were obtained for different resonant frequencies, various substrate permeability values and different thickness values of the antenna. Calculation results were compared with experimental results, obtained with high accuracy.
