Abstract

In this study, a simple modification for an effective patch radius expression is given in order to improve the accuracy of the resonant frequency calculations of two-layered circular patch microstrip antenna. The obtained results which provide lower percentage error values due to the modification in the effective patch radius expression are presented for thin and thick air gaps.
