Özet

Today, increasing use of technology and contemporary educational needs make self-regulated ways of multimedia learning highly prevalent. Instructional videos in various fields are provided in Online Learning Platforms (OLPs) as multimedia learning tools. However, despite their effectiveness as educational tools, there are limited studies on design suggestions for OLPs and instructional videos. This paper aims to explore the success criteria of OLPs and instructional videos from their users’ perspective to propose design suggestions. For this purpose, we conducted semi-structured interviews to investigate individuals’ experiences and opinions about these mediums. Also, eye-tracking technology was employed to evaluate the gaze behaviors of users. Ten users having experience in OLPs participated in the study. The results were categorized under six titles as System Quality, Information Quality, System Delivery, Use, User Satisfaction, and Benefits.
