Yeşim Kutkan Öztürk is an architectural historian and architect whose work bridges professional practice and academic research. She graduated from Bilkent University Interior Architecture and Environmental Design in 2007 and earned her Master’s degree in Architecture from Politecnico di Milano in 2010. In 2025, she earned her PhD in the History of Architecture from Middle East Technical University with a dissertation titled Between Text and Monument: Unveiling the Architectural Historiography of the Temple of Augustus and Roma at Ancyra.
Her scholarly interests concentrate on the European reception of Classical art and architecture through travel literature, cultural memory and acculturation, examining the intersections of built heritage, historical narratives and cultural transformations while contributing to a deeper understanding of ancient architectural traditions and their historiographical interpretations.
