Biyografi

Dr. Merih Uğurel Kamışlı received her B.A. in English Language Teaching from Cukurova University, her Master of Education degree in Educational Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin, and her Ph.D. in Adult, Professional, and Community Education from Texas State University. Dr. Kamisli’s experiences as a higher education professional include a program coordinator role at the Texas International Education Consortium (TIEC) for international teacher training and professional development programs in Austin, Texas. Dr. Kamisli was also a Fulbright scholar at the University of Texas at Austin in 2007 and a language and culture mentor for the ROTC Language and Culture Project during her graduate study. Dr. Kamisli’s research interests include adult motivation and learning, intercultural communication in education, acculturation, and social justice issues in refugee and migrant education. Her work comprises a co-authored book on Intercultural Communication in Education, and an edited book on English Literacy Educators Working with Refugee Families: An Intercultural Approach to Adult Education with coauthored chapters.
