Biography
Dr. Şehram Dizeci (Shahram A. Dizaji) is an accomplished mechanical engineer specializing in advanced manufacturing, material science, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tabriz, one of Iran's most reputable institutions, in 2005. He earned his MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology, focusing on the hydroforming of Aluminum and Titanium alloys, culminating in a patented novel hydroforming process. In 2014, he completed his Ph.D. at Middle East Technical University (METU), Turkey, where his research centered on Ductile Fracture Criteria in sheet metal forming.
Dr. Dizeci’s career is marked by a strong emphasis on research and development. He served as an R&D advisor at METU Technopark, contributing to projects in diverse areas such as solar power plant design, laser-assisted micro-machining, and laser-based metrology. His work in solar energy systems reflects his commitment to sustainable and green production technologies, focusing on energy efficiency and reducing environmental impacts.
Since 2016, Dr. Dizeci has been a faculty member at TED University, teaching solid mechanics while leading multiple innovative projects. In 2017 and 2019, he secured support for mid-scale projects from Ankara University's Technopolis and KOSGEB. In 2022, he led a TÜBİTAK-funded project titled "Developing an Inclusive Damage Model in Adhesively-Bonded Dissimilar Materials."
Dr. Dizeci has also contributed to EU-funded initiatives, including HEI Innovation for Knowledge Intensive Entrepreneurship, and Incubators. His entrepreneurial pursuits have driven research in manufacturing and robotics, resulting in patented technologies and the establishment of a research-driven startup. His expertise spans Nanoparticle Reinforced Composites, Metal Forming, Damage in Materials, and Advanced Manufacturing, making him an invaluable contributor to projects that integrate sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
