Biography
Dr. Şehram Dizeci (Shahram A. Dizaji) is a mechanical engineer specializing in advanced manufacturing techniques, materials science, numerical analyses, sustainability, and technology-based entrepreneurship. He received his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tabriz in 2005 and completed his M.Sc. at the Iran University of Science and Technology, focusing on the hydroforming of aluminum and titanium alloys. In 2014, he earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU), where his research concentrated on ductile fracture criteria in sheet metal forming.
Dr. Dizeci worked as an R&D consultant for nearly three years, contributing to projects involving solar energy systems, laser-assisted micromachining, and laser-based metrology.
Since 2016, he has been a faculty member at TED University, teaching solid mechanics and leading innovative research projects. He received mid-scale project support from Ankara University Technopark and KOSGEB in 2017 and 2019 and established a startup company named Rhinoplus. Between 2022 and 2024, he led and completed a TÜBİTAK-funded project titled "Development of a Comprehensive Damage Model for Adhesively Bonded Dissimilar Materials." He has also contributed as a researcher to EU-supported entrepreneurship initiatives such as "HEI Innovation for Knowledge-Intensive Entrepreneurship."
His expertise in nanoparticle-reinforced composites, metal forming, material failure, and advanced manufacturing supports his active involvement in projects that integrate sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
